An Expensive Purchase

Hey guys so I picked up two more games this weekend and once again nothing too exciting here. First we have Super B-Daman: Fighting Phoenix, which came on a black cart even though it was not a Gameboy Color game. Hudson soft did this with a few titles after the GBC was released, I think these black non-GBC games could use the GBC IR link though. You might notice the GB-Kiss logo on the sticker there. The other game is GB Pachi-Slot Hisshouhou Jr., mostly got it because the condition was really nice, both were 108 yen each.

So what gives the title says that there was an expensive purchase, right? Well while I was out with my girlfriend, we went to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, we had some time to kill and decided to check out this kind of toy shop uhh place. It was like a shop in a mall that's prolly the best way I can describe it. Anyway we walk in and we see the the display for Nintendo Switch, which I have wanted but since passing up on a pre order opportunity, why did I do that? I have not been able to find one, its just sold out everywhere. However this display had a sign which said "limit 1 per customer", that didn't immediately get me excited as I have seen that before and been told "oh sorry dude we are all out". Anyway, my girlfriend went and asked and they did have them and in fact the ones in the case were the actual stock they had! They had 2 of the gray joycon version and only one of the blue and red, which is the one I wanted. So basically I just got the newest Gameboy right? Woo!

So that said I might have to slow down on the spending for a bit, don't worry I'll probably do a crappy job of it. I'll keep updating with more of the "Box Art Face Offs" and the "Replay Series" posts to keep stuff from getting boring.
